Come on down with friends and lovers to Lloyds Valentine's Night bash with champagne & canapes and live music from The ThingumaBobs &  The ThingumaJigs £15 advance £20 at door

-Here's the BBC review of one of their shows (expect no less at Lloyds!!)             To rapturous applause from their 'Percussion Army', Thingumabob and the Thingumajigs arrive.Dressed in fine millinery, with breathtaking facial hair, smart suits and Hawaiian shirts, from the moment they step foot on stage, this band have the crowd in the palms of their hands.

Theirs is a delightful sound, of skiffle and bop, music hall and balladic pop. There’s even something of the Butlins feeling - singalong catchy, wave your hands in the air silly but glazed with a surreal sardonic wit that really hit the target. Think Mighty Boosh meets The Blockheads and you're getting there.

There were duelling ukeleles and several reprises of the memorable 'Where is my imaginary bear?' song, translated into German, French, Spanish and Hebrew. On occasion, they even restarted songs so the crowd could sing along. Finishing their set with the wonderful 'Mr Rabbit', the whole place was bouncing and smiling like idiots.

Are Thingumabob and the Thingumajigs post-modern pioneers, taking retro back towards its logical conclusion, or just very silly boys? I urge you to seek them out and decide for yourself.
